It's Here!!!!
Hey there,
Anyone who has had a conversation with me during this quarantine, most certainly have heard of my broken laptop. It has been a classic example of things going wrong at the worst possible time! Right after the lockdown started in our area, my laptop decided that this was the best moment to stop working...forever. If there was ever anything that I absolutely can not imagine my life without...can you guess what it would be?
That's right. A computer.
Impeccable timing, for sure. As such, I spent the first few weeks of lockdown brooding, sulking, getting up to eat or drink and then...repeat. It was also the period when everyone seemed to be over-enthusiastic about this new break. Positivity was flooding the internet. Light at the end of the tunnel. Everyone was worked up-- I was getting study materials from professors and well, you get the idea... Obviously, I wasn't in the mood for academics but what the hell? Talks after talks with seniors on what would be the preferred mode of education, and polls after polls to decide that. At one point it was decided that we'd have video lectures...
Even if we ignore the obvious lack in academic interest at the moment due to the global ordeal; the thought of having to figure out all the derivations and mathematics of my course from the tiny screen of a mobile; ignited a new type of misery. I was exhausted. Angry. Sad. Mostly helpless. I gave up everything, except brooding. When suddenly...
An uncle brought with him the best present possible -- his spare laptop that'd been collecting dust. Well, not anymore; I thought. I exulted. The misery vanished. The fact that I was so heavily dependent on this piece of machinery didn't even scare or concern me in the least...I was way too happy to notice.
But today something even better has happened. My dream laptop has arrived. Stellar graphics. Stellar performance. Stellar looks. And to top it all, it's property of...well, me! What more could you want?
It's funny how fast we have adapted to this "new normal". I honestly didn't believe this day would come before I had the vaccine running in my veins. And yet, here I am...merrily typing away on my newest love.
Hey handsome! Welcome to this new adventure! I'm sure we'll make a good team. Cheers!!
