Green

Ever since I was little I have loved the colour green. As a kid, I used to think that it was my favourite shade. Turns out I love most soft colours. And yet, every time I look at green vegetation, my heart skips a beat! There's something really therapeutic about looking at green plants.

I remember the days when we used to vacation in the mountains. Every time I stared at the green rolling hills, happiness washed all over me. The prospect of waking up in a small wooden cottage nestled somewhere within the majestic mountains; still fills me with joy!

Something really amazing about walking amidst green trees!

Every winter our school would blossom into a green paradise. The gardens all over the campus blossomed with colourful flowers, adorned with pretty green leaves. I would wander around, with my very knowledgeable peers trying to learn the names of these sweet, beautiful creations.

Lately, I have been studying a lot about house plants. All the benefits and advantages of having them--there are so many! They double up as beautiful pieces of decor too...only present to please your eyes and pump fresh air into your heart!

I very much look forward to having my own garden someday. I would stock it up with vegetable and fruit plants with a few flower trees here and there. What a lovely place to sit and read in!

Right now, all I can do is dash out to my balcony to stare at the green giants on the other side. The gently dancing branches...the raindrops on big jackfruit leaves...the smell of humid and moist soil...the sweet smell of flowers, rejuvenate the dilapidated heart.

Trapped here for over five months, the soul longs for walks amidst tall trees and pretty flowers, while the brain revolts and muffs out the desire.
