Finally a break
Nothing interesting had happened in the last few weeks. Thus, I didn't have any inspiration to write. Exam season makes everything grey. Only this year it was spread over three long months. And barely five days had passed before the new semester started again. Sigh! But some refreshing things did happen recently.
After permanently moving to the city; I was really mad at my rotten luck. I have always wanted to walk around and explore new places around the city. But obviously, the pandemic had to be in the way! Nevertheless, recently I had the opportunity to finally eat out with friends! I guess it has been a year since I last ate somewhere other than home. So, undoubtedly it was a very welcome fun event.
It was a day packed with incidents. My friend and I had a huge fight before going out and were almost on the verge of cancelling the event when we both realised that the event involved food. (We are both huge gluttons! Hehee..) So we finally decided that we should still go out. I was determined to show off to my friend how punctual I am and how he was always tardy; just so I could jibe at him again when he finally showed up. Little did I know that he was having similar thoughts. So, miraculously we both arrived at exactly the same moment. ( I still don't understand the probability of that happening.) But still, I got to jibe at him as he was unable to recognise me. Score. (Umm, but should I really be celebrating that though? 🤔)
Anyway, leaving all the bickering behind, it was time to decide on a very important factor: the restaurant. And obviously, we ran around, unable to decide where to eat and ended up flipping a coin. Then we negated the coin's judgement and randomly entered the closest joint. But I am so grateful that we did. The burger was immaculate. I'll leave a snap here to make everyone hungry. 😈
But I am still mad because I couldn't have more than two french fries. By the time I had bit into my burger for the very first time, they had gone down someone's hatch. Can you guess what had happened?
Anyway, it was wonderful. After waiting for the longest time I was finally able to enjoy myself. Even though it was just for a few hours; the time I spent eating and chatting relaxed me to the fullest. It was just what I needed after such a hectic semester. I hope I'll be able to at least snatch a few breaks this time around. Until then I'll keep dreaming about this dessert we had!
